In Puerto Rico, there are in
existence dams and reservoirs with multiple uses to service
the people. The mission of the Puerto Rico Dam Safety
Program is to protect life, property and the environment.
This is done through the effective collection, evaluation,
understanding and sharing of the information necessary to
identify, estimate and mitigate the risks created by dams.
The Program is managed by the Puerto Rico Electric Power
Authority through the Dams and Reservoirs Inspection Unit. |
