FAJARDO DAM

This dam constructed in August 2000. This located like a 1.6 miles to the south-southwestern of the town of Fajardo. It is arrived at the same one by Highway PR-53 from Fajardo. The Lake formed by a land dam of 115 feet of height. Its normal capacity will be of 4,455 acre feet. The same one is constructed outside the channel of the Fajardo River. The Fajardo River above of his localization by a pipe that took the water until the dam receives waters.

The dam that forms the dam constructs for the Puerto Rico Sewer and Water Supply Authority systems by the company Río Construction. The waters of the dam will be used solely for domestic consumption of the municipalities of Fajardo, Luquillo and Ceiba.
