DAGUEY DAM (STRUCTURE 3)

 

 

LOCATION AND DESCRIPTION


This structure is located to the northeast of the town of Aņasco, next to highway PR- 404 in the Daguey River. The facility consists of a land dam (dock) of 50 feet of stop. The capacity of the dam is of 334 acre-feet. The structure has a pipe of exit (unloading) of 30"of diameter. The dam has an emergency drain that overflows (unloading) to the same Daguey River.

 

USE AND HISTORY

This dam was designed and constructed by the Service of Ground Conservation of the Department of Federal Agriculture in 1978 for the Natural Resources Department of Puerto Rico. The dam is for floods control.
